Tonga’s aftermath

Tonga climbed the ladder all the way to the world cup semi finals for the first time in history. Tongan fans had followed the Tongan rugby league team since the very beginning.

I have enjoyed watching Tonga’s success because they achieved their personal best in their history. Tonga maybe a small country but they do have hundreds and thousands of fans, who support them all the way and even when we loose the celebration never ends.

Tonga is a proud country where people can be crazy or sensitive. Tonga was always looked down on, but this was Tongas time to rise and show them what Tonga was made of and how crazy the supporters were and/or is now.

Tonga has been one of the most clinical teams of the tournament completing over 80 percent of their sets in the past three games. Throughout the tournament they’ve played for a full 80 minutes and they never given up. This is a really memorable game to remember because it's the first time since the warriors inaugural NRL season 22 years ago, Tonga’s supporters have flooded Mt Smart stadium.

It was a hard loss to take but we were very proud of our Tongan team. This has helped me as a young person to never give up even when things are hard. It’s made me remember where I come from and who I represent.
